Ina is an incredible Spanish tutor. I have been taking lessons with her for the past 3 months. I’ve previously taken Spanish lessons as an adult and have struggled and given up, but she has been able to really make a difference and break through. Not only have I improved my Spanish skills but she has also improved my confidence. She is positive, giving me words of encouragement when I stumble over words and offers compassion and empathy, which makes a big difference! She encourages me to practice on my own and to do homework because it really does make a difference even if it's just 10 mins a day. I like how our sessions are friendly and it helps me feel more relaxed and comfortable. She is always kind and patient when we have to repeat an exercise if needed. The sessions are a mix of worksheets, workbook and off the cuff chatter which is great, it keeps you on your toes! I recommend her to anyone and am grateful to be learning from a skilled teacher!

Ina is a terrific tutor with lots of patience and many approaches to teaching. I'm an adult learner with very limited Spanish, and I've learned way more with her than I have with other apps and classes! Ina identifies each student's individual learning level, style, and ability and teaches accordingly, so you'll always get the best method for you. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have been taking lessons with Ina for about a year, and we could not ask for a better teacher! Spanish can be quite complicated, but she breaks the concepts down into logical pieces and explains it with both the theory and conversational examples. Highly recommend learning from Ina!

Ina is AMAZING! She has been teaching my husband and me Spanish via weekly private zooms and we've LOVED it and learned so much! I took Spanish back in high school, but in a matter of months with Ina I've already surpassed my high school knowledge and am more confident in speaking / writing / comprehending Spanish. I've been learning Spanish with Ina since January 2020. She helped me prepare for a trip to Guatemala where I would be spending time with folks who didn't speak any English by giving me conversational questions and responses. I came back for more structured learning because Ina is a true professional but still lots of fun. If you're lucky, you will get to meet her cute teaching prop Bruno! Ina's able to evaluate her students' levels and tailor their lessons accordingly.

My daughter has been taking lessons with Ina for some time now and I have seen her improve so much. She was able to grasp the concepts so clearly and was speaking Spanish in an effective manner as well. In school, she used to struggle, but after having various sessions with Ina, she was able to learn so much so quickly. Ina's wonderful teaching methods and dedication have truly worked miracles and we are so thankful for her. I would highly recommend Ina to anyone who is looking to educate themselves in Spanish. Ina is the best Spanish tutor I have ever had! I have been taking lessons with her for about 9 months and I have made immense progress in my Spanish. I took Spanish lessons in the past, and the information never seemed to stick, however after working with her my friends and family have even noticed how much I've improved/continue to improve. She provides a great mix of learning grammar/written Spanish and practicing talking in Spanish. She is patient and kind, and always willing to repeat her questions until you understand. I am so grateful to be learning from her!

I enjoy working with Ina. She has been working with me since January 2020. She is very patient and continues to encourage me and pushes me to get out of my comfort zone. During the pandemic she was able to continue our sessions via Zoom. I enjoy my weekly one on one sessions and look forward to many more!!

I’ve been trying to learn Spanish on my own but it’s very difficult and having a teacher help you through tall of it is amazing! I’ve been looking for a good place to learn Spanish and I’ve found one! I’ve really learned and have grown so much more in Spanish with these lessons, It’s worth it.

Ina is absolutely wonderful! I simply can not think of a single time where I’ve been disappointed with her teaching quality and approach. She also happens to be a very warm and wonderful exceptional person. Ina is very clear in her teaching and incredibly patient. She is very willing to review grammar as frequently as I need to. I was raised with a grandparent and a parent who spoke Spanish to each other but discouraged the kids from speaking Spanish. This caused some very bad habits on my part and some shame that impacted my readiness to learn Spanish. However, I made a commitment when I turned sixty to finally learn Spanish! I fund Ina on the internet about a year ago and am SO happy I did. I am extremely pleased with my progress and have Ina to thank. If you are looking for a concise and patient teacher, AND someone who makes you laugh, call Ina. You will not be disappointed!!

When Covid started in March 2020 I had a lot of time on my hands so I decided to dust off the cobwebs from my high school Spanish brain cells, buy a workbook and start studying Spanish on my own. I was fairly consistent with this for a year, using workbooks and the internet. I felt that my progress was going slower than expected, and I realized I actually needed to SPEAK Spanish in order to progress faster. I searched online for a teacher for one on one online instruction and found Ina. This has been the greatest decision. Ina determined my level of Spanish and we began lessons from there. Every minute of the lesson is beneficial. We speak back and forth in Spanish and she gently corrects me when necessary. We also use the workbook she requires so there is always homework to go over. She is always on time and there is no time wasted during the lesson. Ina is also very nice and easy to work with. She was my first ever Zoom meeting! I highly recommend her if you want to begin learning Spanish or take your current knowledge to the next level.

Ina is a fantastic teacher who knows her stuff. I have been taking classes with her for over a year now and with her help my Spanish has really improved. She is very flexible with her time. If you are dedicated she can absolutely help you too.

You'll learn critical practical skills (verb conjugation, vocabulary, pronoun usage) at your own pace, as well as develop reading/writing, and conversation capabilities. Ina also provides convenient flexible scheduling, including weekends, in an optimal location for Bay Area residents.

Ina has been a great addition to my journey of learning Spanish. She is personable and cares about each student. Immediately you will feel welcome in her home. Ina balances conversation with book learning and takes note of what you as a student want to focus on. I highly recommend Ina! I am a registered nurse and have been very interested in learning Spanish so I can better interact with my patients. My only language background is a few years of long-forgotten high school French, and I was quite intimidated at the thought of being an adult and starting from scratch. I started my lessons earlier this year and Ina made and still makes me feel comfortable. Ina adjusts her lessons and teaching style based on your goals-mine is conversational Spanish. She focuses on this, but also challenges me to learn language composition and other components outside of just conversation. She accommodates my crazy schedule and is very flexible with lesson times and dates. Ina is kind, approachable, and personable-if you are thinking about trying to learn a new language (even as an adult) definitely give her a call!
