Hi, I'm Ina
Building strong foundations through grammar explanation
I'm a native Spanish speaker from Argentina specializing in language learning tools. In my tutoring lessons, I focus on building a strong foundation through the explanation of grammar structures and what is learned in class. I teach real-life situations for my students to successfully express themselves in Spanish.
I'm located in Lafayette, CA, primarily serving students from Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda (Lamorinda), Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon, and Berkeley. And of course I welcome to my home students from all other Bay Area locations as well! My Spanish lessons are one hour in length.

Spanish is my mother tongue and I speak English fluently. I have a degree in social communication from Austral University. I have experience working as a university professor and organize creative writing workshops. I enjoy writing fiction, having won several literary competitions and published stories.
I've been teaching Spanish for a few years. In my one-hour classes, my approach is both theoretical and practical; I work on conversational tools, grammar, syntax vocabulary, and literature.
I like working with students of all ages and levels. I know that each student is different, so I try to taylor the learning process to fit each person's strengths and weaknesses.

My students buy two books on Amazon:
- Spanish Verb Tenses Premium fourth edition
- Spanish pronouns and Prepositions premium third edition
Both books are written by Dorothy Richmond.
Teaching Method
Before we start with the books, I email my students a set of copies with which we work for a few sessions and then, we jump into the books.
In class, I do grammar, conversation, reading, listening comprehension, and short stories.
